On the 24th of March, 2006 JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums submitted to Financial and Capital Markets Commission 3-year notes issue prospectus. The bank plans to publicly list the notes with the nominal value of EUR 5 million. The arranger of the issue is JSC Parex banka that together with the issuer plans to value the market demand, pricing (the yield of the notes) and to place the notes. JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums plans to use the proceeds derived from the notes issue to finance development of trade, sea and transit business companies. We would like to stress out that this is going to be the second notes issue of JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums. In December 2004, AS Akciju komercbanka Baltikums completed one of the most important projects in its history. It placed the first unsecured notes issue in the amount of EUR 3,855,500 and with the 2 year maturity. The primary goal of this issue is to raise additional funds in order to increase JSC Akciju komercbanka Baltikums activities in the chosen field of sea transportation and trade finance. The bank successfully met this goal. In 2005, the size of the loans increased by 30-40% which corresponds to the amount of the raised funding. The first issue was offered to the local and foreign investors by JSC Parex banka, the issue’s arranger.
